Having a blog alone is hard work and some people underestimate the work that goes into it. There are times when your content is doing great and times when you can hardly get it out on time.
Bloggers do more than just write, which is often times a misconception. There is so much more that needs to be done in the background. If your blog is not yielding the results that you hoped it would, it can be a bit discouraging.

Luckily, there are some steps you can take to increase your conversion rate for your blog. It might take some time for the results to show, but in the end, you will thank yourself.
Writing good content is always the first step to a blogger’s success, but what more can be done.
A nice structured blog with a good design seems essential, but people have done well with none of that. When your readers interact with you on your blog, this is where the cherry on the cake is.
Building these kind of relationships take time and effort. With all this going on in a blogger’s head, one can understand that some of the smaller details are neglected.
Once you have a list of things you can try to up the conversion rate, there is immediate structure. Make a list of these steps and make sure you check all the boxes before you publish. These small steps makes the world’s difference.
If you are not telling your audience what they need to do, then they won’t do anything. A call to action approach is where you tell or guide your audience to what they need to do next.
This can be a link to subscribe to your email list or to share on social media. Whatever you need them to do after reading your post, needs to be effectively communicated.
Also make sure that the steps they need to take is easy to do. No one is going to go through a long process, just to share your blog post. The results of course are going to be beneficial to you, so make sure it is effortless.
Clicking on one button is easy, but having to go through 10 steps is off-putting.
2. Pop-up boxes
Listen, we all know how annoying these pop up boxes can be when you are about to leave a website, but don’t just too fast. What if it actually works and there are yielding results.
Some people hate these boxes, but there are success in it, because not everyone is the same. Perhaps you really liked the blog and you would like to become part of the community.
Then by the time you want to leave the page, you get a reminder that there is a way you can join. It does not have to be intrusive and there needs to be an easy way to exit this box if you want to avoid that annoyance.
If you need writing help reviews you can add a box to ask politely. You can also use this as a rating system for your blog post. No matter what the pop-up communicates, it needs to be authentic to the action you need the readers to take.
3. Better content
I don’t believe that any bloggers goes out to write bad content and half of the time it is not bad. Sometimes all is needed is a little upgrade in the content.
By this, I simply mean choosing better subjects or having a critical look at your writing style. You do not need to be hard on yourself through this process and it might even be a better idea to give it to someone else to look over.
Never judge your ability as a writer and a blogger. These minor changes could have exceptional results if done correctly. Good content will never go out of style and I am sure that online users can tell the difference.
There are some online tools where you can enter your title and it tells you if that would be a good subject to write about. Go the extra mile when it comes to the content you publish on your blog.
4. Improve your conversion rate: quizzes
Your audience are your online family and the more you interact with them, the better. Make sure that there is an open door of communication at all times.
One of the most fun and interacting things bloggers can do is to add a quiz on the blog. This gives your readers an opportunity to voice their opinions and get results.
The quiz can be about anything in the world, as long as it is within your niche. A review writer blog might have something like a grammar quiz on the blog, whereas a lifestyle blogger might want to go with a fashion one.
This is the time to be as creative as possible. Pull your friends and family in to help make it a fun setup for everyone to enjoy.
5. Show yourself
One of the most frustrating parts of reading content is when you have no idea what type of person wrote it. This simply means that showing a little personality on your blog is a good idea.
When someone relates to you, they are more likely to send you an email because you showed that you are an actual person. Never write your blog in an academic fashion, unless you have an academic blog.
You want to be relatable and make your audience feel like they have something in common with you. It is sometimes easier said than done, but this is where we try to build the trust. Humans connect with other humans, not computer screens.
6. Be consistent
Before you start blogging, make sure you set a schedule for yourself based on how often and when you plan to publish a new post. This is going to allow your readers to look forward to something new, let’s say, on a Wednesday.
Being consistent in your blog uploads and your content quality is crucial. There are no shortcuts when it comes to increasing your conversion rate.
Make sure your blog navigates easily and that your audience know what to expect when clicking on that new article.
Bloggers need to love what they are doing, in order for it to be effective. Success comes to those who work hard and this definitely applies to the blogging world. Once you have laid down the foundation, you simply build on that.
Treat your blog as if it is a business and one of your top priorities. You cannot just upload your blog with rushed content as and when you are in the mood.
We go to work even when we don’t feel like it, so show up when it comes to blogging. Its serious business, but you have to love what you are doing, in order for it to be worth it.
